Artist and writer Scott Feldmann painted unique designs to form patterns called Padrãos, with special inserts of critters, fauna and flora, one scenic mural and a dozen life-size portraits known as Figura Avulsas. These paintings were interpreted as tile art in a time-honored process by Master Craftsman Lillie Castro and the team at Mission Tile West in South Pasadena.
